Floor Manager Job Description

Position Summary: The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations on the floor of a retail or hospitality establishment. They ensure that customer service standards are met, operations run smoothly, and the environment is well-maintained and safe. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and interacting with customers to ensure a high-quality experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the floor staff, ensuring they are properly trained, motivated, and performing their duties to the highest standards.
• Ensure the floor area is clean, organized, and well-maintained, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage customer queries and complaints efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure stock levels are maintained and displayed appropriately.
• Implement promotional activities and ensure the staff is briefed and prepared for them.
• Monitor sales performance and set targets to achieve business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and local laws and regulations.
• Prepare and present reports on floor activities, staff performance, customer feedback, and sales targets.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Floor Manager or similar supervisory role in retail or hospitality.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and interact with customers.
• Problem-solving ability to handle customer complaints and staff issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of inventory management, safety regulations, and merchandising.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the business.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field is preferred.
