6G Welder Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled 6G Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in welding various materials using the 6G welding technique. The role involves working in various positions, including overhead, vertical, and horizontal, to fabricate and assemble metal structures or pipes according to specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform 6G welding on a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) machines.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a 6G Welder or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, including GTAW, SMAW, and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW).
• Certification in 6G welding preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
