Responsibilities:

1. Monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and promote a safe swimming experience.
2. Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
3. Respond promptly and effectively to all emergency situations.
4. Provide first aid and CPR as needed until professional medical assistance arrives.
5. Conduct routine inspections of pool equipment and report any maintenance issues.
6. Assist in the implementation of emergency action plans and drills.
7. Communicate effectively with patrons and colleagues.
8. Maintain accurate records of pool usage, incidents, and rescues.
9. Attend regular training sessions to stay updated on lifeguard techniques and protocols.
10. Collaborate with other lifeguards and facility staff to ensure a cohesive safety approach.

Qualifications:

1. Current lifeguard certification from an accredited organization.
2. CPR and First Aid certifications.
3. Strong swimming and rescue skills.
4. Excellent observational and communication skills.
5. Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations.

Physiological Requirements:

1. Ability to swim long distances and perform rescues in various water conditions.
2. Stamina to stand and remain alert for extended periods.
3. Comfortable with frequent exposure to sun and outdoor weather conditions.
