Position: Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and a proven track record of successful project management from conception through completion. This role involves designing, developing, and overseeing construction projects, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and water supply systems, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and are sustainable for the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, plans, blueprints, and other topographical and geologic data to effectively plan projects.
• Assess potential risks, materials, and costs involved in projects and provide viable solutions.
• Liaise with architects, project managers, and construction professionals to discuss and resolve project specifications and procedures.
• Ensure projects comply with legal requirements, especially health and safety standards.
• Supervise and monitor the progress of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Utilize design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards.
• Evaluate the sustainability and environmental impact of projects and make adjustments as necessary.
• Prepare public reports on topics such as bid proposals, environmental impact statements, and property descriptions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Proven work experience as a Civil Engineer in planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
• Familiarity with regulatory construction standards and building codes in the UAE.
• Excellent project management and supervision skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous.

Work Environment:

This role typically works in an office setting for design and planning but also requires frequent visits to construction sites for monitoring and coordination. The candidate should be prepared for outdoor work in various weather conditions and occasional travel.
